Nevada overcame a terrible 10-of-23 night at the free throw line to slip past Air Force, 68-62, in men’s basketball Tuesday night.
Now, the Wolf Pack (10-7, 2-4 in the Mountain West) goes for its third straight win against a team sure to be full of confidence. San José State (9-10, 2-5 MW) is coming off an upset win over New Mexico Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Lawlor Events Center.

The game will be on TV on KNSN (Ch. 21) and on the radio at 95.5 FM.
On Nevada Sports Net and Mountain West Network, the play-by-play will be by Alex Margulies. Former Pack player Keith Fuetsch is the analyst and Mike Stefansson will be on the sideline.

Both teams have won their past two games. Nevada beat Fresno State 77-66 in overtime, and defeated Air Force 68-62.
San José State beat New Mexico 71-70 on Tuesday after beating Air Force 69-62 on Jan. 11.
Latrell Davis hit the game-winning shot with two seconds left in regulation to lead the Spartans past New Mexico.

The Spartans, under head coach Tim Miles, are led by former Utah State Aggie Josh Udije, who averages 16.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
Among Mountain West teams, Nevada is fifth in scoring, averaging 74.8 points per game, while San José State is eighth, averaging 72.2.
On defense, Nevada is third, allowing 67.0 points per game; and San José State is ninth, allowing 72.9.
The Spartans are third in free-throw shooting percent at 76.6 per game while the Wolf Pack is seventh, converting 68.1.
Nevada leads the Mountain West in 3-point shooting percentage at 38.8, and San José State is sixth at 34.7.
