College basketball: Pfeiffer to honor Salisbury grad Cam Stout

MISENHEIMER — Pfeiffer University basketball is hosting a memorial service for Salisbury High hoops standout Cameron Stout on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Pfeiffer Chapel.
Pfeiffer also will recognize Stout prior to Friday’s 7 p.m. home men’s basketball game against No. 17 Guilford.
Stout died at 20 on May 19, 2024. He was a rising junior at Pfeiffer and was majoring in Health and Physical Education with the goal of becoming a teacher. He worked with youngsters in the after-school program at the J.F. Hurley YMCA in Salisbury.
Playing for coach Bryan Withers at Salisbury in the 2021-22 high school season, Stout was Rowan County Player of the Year and Central Carolina Conference Player of the Year.
