The May 28 NBA Draft deadline marked the final major milestone of the college basketball offseason calendar. As programs across the nation finalize their 2025-26 rosters, national college basketball analyst Isaac Trotter revealed his latest preseason top 10 rankings on Tuesday’s episode of The 247Sports College Basketball Show.
Five teams that ended the 2024-25 season in the top 10 of the final AP Top 25 landed in Trotter’s preseason rankings: Duke, Florida, Houston, Michigan and Texas Tech. A mix of player retention, transfer portal additions, and high school recruiting fueled their lofty preseason expectations.
Trotter forecasts significant leaps for Louisville and UConn, along with several others. The Huskies were unranked in the final AP Top 25, while the Cardinals finished 21st. Both squads surged into the preseason top 10 following a strong offseason.
