College basketball reporter who turned heads does it again at White House

Talia Baia, the ESPN college basketball reporter who turned heads during the NCAA Tournament, is back turning heads on Instagram, this time as she showed off her trip to the White House

Talia Baia, the ESPN college basketball reporter who turned heads during the NCAA Tournament, has gotten fans’ attention yet again.

Baia first gained the attention of fans during her interview with guard Bennett Andersen, when fans believed the former team manager was enamored by Baia and her presence. Capitalizing on the eyes on her, the former Florida journalism student posted a bevy of articles featuring her interview with Andresen and stated: “This is absolute madness.”

Months later, Baia is back in the spotlight and fans were quick to note the reporter’s attire and by all accounts, stun her fans with her choice. Baia joined the Gators at the White House, where they were celebrated by Donald Trump for winning the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

In an eight-photo carousel posted to Instagram, the reporter posted how her journey to Washington D.C. “Honored to cover history at the White House with the National Champs,” she captioned her post.

Along with showing photos and clips of the White House and Trump talking to the Gators, Baia also posted numerous photos of what she wore to the proceedings. Baia paired dark pants with a bright red jacket, with some commenting on social media that her outfit was, in one commenter’s words, “iconic.”

“So proud of u. You are the coolest person ever,” one person commented. Another fan added: “Officially the coolest person I know.”

By all accounts, the comments on Baia’s trip to the White House with the Gators, along with her outfit, were filled with fans and friends who were enamored with her look and the fact that she was with the team. A comment even suggested that Baia should run for president in the near future, based solely on the post.

The reporter first came into prominence after her interview with Andersen captured the attention of fans on social media. Andersen formerly was Florida’s team manager for three seasons before joining the team as a walk-on, eventually scoring in the NCAA Tournament against Maryland.

After the game, Baia spoke with Andersen about his experience playing in the tournament.

“Yeah, it felt amazing,” he replied to the reporter. “I just ran after the rebound. There’s no reason for me to get back on defense at that point in the game, so I’m just trying to get the rebound.

“I thought that dude was going to jump to try to block it, but he didn’t really jump, so I just laid it in. It was crazy.”

Fans immediately took notice of how Andersen was acting toward Baia, with some believing that the former had “fallen in love” with the ESPN reporter.

“That interview meant waaaaay more than the bucket. He won’t sleep for a month after that interview,” one fan wrote, with another adding: “I think a young man fell in love.”
