College Basketball Transfer Portal 2025: Top names to know as window opens

Gabriel Pozzato | G | Evansville

Eligibility remaining: Three seasons

2024-25 stats: 14.9 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 1.3 APG, 31% on 3s

Pozzato is a big-time entry. The Italian freshman balled out for Evansville and flashed above-the-rim athleticism and impressive shot-making. His 28-point evisceration of a terrific North Texas defense put him squarely on the radar for high-majors.

Eligibility remaining: One season

2024-25 stats: 14.9 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.8 APG, 47% on 3s

When healthy, DeVries is one of the top players in the country. The two-time Missouri Valley Player of the Year is transferring to Indiana to play for his dad, Darian, who accepted the IU job earlier this week. He’ll be a popular preseason All-Big Ten selection.

Taylor Bol Bowen | F | Florida State

Eligibility remaining: Two seasons

2024-25 stats: 8.0 PPG, 5.2 RPG

Bowen hits free agency after Leonard Hamilton retired at Florida State. The long, athletic forward has all the athletic tools to be a two-way difference-maker.

TK Simpkins | G | Elon

Eligibility remaining: One season

2024-25 stats: 16.4 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 2.6 APG, 36% on 3s

Simpkins is a pass-dribble-shoot guard out of Brooklyn who should be a high-major target.

All Wright | PG | Valparaiso

Eligibility remaining: Three seasons

2024-25 stats: 15.5 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 2.4 APG, 35% on 3s

Wright flipped the switch in the final two months of the season and put up big-time scoring numbers in the Missouri Valley as a true freshman. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound lead guard had 10 games with at least 20 points in the last six weeks. Smooth operator.

Cooper Schwieger | C | Valparaiso

Eligibility remaining: Two seasons

2024-25 stats: 15.8 PPG, 7.8 RPG

The 6-foot-10 big man has packed on real weight and became a force in the Missouri Valley. Schwieger torched UIC for 33 points, 18 rebounds and five assists on March 2. He’s a polished interior scorer who can also step out and splash treys.

Noah Williamson | C | Bucknell

Eligibility remaining: One season

2024-25 stats: 17.6 PPG, 7.6 RPG

The 7-foot, 250-pound center made 20 3s during Patriot League play and was a dominant two-way force. He had 16 points in 26 minutes against Gonzaga in non-conference play.

Jalil Bethea | SG | Miami

Eligibility remaining: One season

2024-25 stats: 7.1 PPG, 2.1 RPG

The former five-star guard had a turbulent first season at Miami, but he was regarded as one of the top shooters in his recruiting class. Bethea will have a real market.

Kaleb Glenn | SG | Florida Atlantic

Eligibility remaining: Two seasons

2024-25 stats: 12.6 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 41% from 3

Glenn transformed into an absolute weapon for FAU after a topsy-turvy freshman season at Louisville. Glenn’s counting stats don’t look quite as impressive, just because FAU’s rotation was so deep. But Glenn was the Owls’ best player who can absolutely fill it up.

Justin Pippen | SG | Michigan

Eligibility remaining: Three seasons

2024-25 stats: 1.6 PPG

The former top-100 prospect played sparingly at Michigan. Yes, his dad is Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen. Despite Michigan going on to the Sweet 16, Pippen will not be with the team.

Kam Williams| F | Tulane

Eligibility remaining: Three seasons

2024-25 stats: 9.3 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 41% from 3

The 6-foot-9 forward flashed intriguing catch-and-shoot abilities. He will test the NBA Draft waters but is expected to return to the college ranks for his sophomore season.
