College basketball transfer portal’s top seven available players

Talent in the 2025 college basketball transfer portal is dwindling, with just six of the top 400 prospects still available as of Wednesday. Still, a handful of intriguing talents remain, each with a chance to contribute at the high-major level for the 2025-26 season.

Former USC point guard Desmond Claude was the last top-100 prospect available following the 2025 NBA Draft deadline May 28. He committed to Washington Sunday, helping the Huskies ascend to No. 13 in the 2025 Transfer Team Rankings.

St. John’s, Michigan and Louisville are the top three transfer classes, respectively. The Cardinals lead all programs with a 97.33 average rating per commit and are are the only team to land three top-20 transfers this offseason in combo guards Adrian Wooley (No. 9) and Ryan Conwell (No. 14), and shooting guard Isaac McKneely (No. 20).
