Approaching the end of the regular season in college basketball, NCAA Tournament buzz is here for the teams competing for top seeds in March as Final Four threats. All of these squads are blessed with talent at the highest level and have fared well in their respective conference championship races this season and many are saving their highest-rate of execution for down the stretch.
According to ESPN’s College Basketball Power Index, there are 10 teams with an 11.5% or better shot at reaching the Final Four, including the overall favorite at 57.2%. The BPI is a “measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of performance going forward. BPI represents how many points above or below average a team is.”
The Final Four is set for April 4-6 in San Antonio. Earlier this season, experts delivered their national champion predictions and those teams continue to lead the national rankings.
