The first College Football Playoff rankings were released this week, and a November to remember kicks off with a pair of SEC Top 25 games in Week 11.

Both Alabama (6-2) and LSU (6-2) are rested and ready off a bye week, and the winner keeps their College Football Playoff hopes alive while the loser sufferss their third loss of the season and will essentially be eliminated from CFP contention. So will Ole Miss (7-2) if they lose to Georgia (7-1), who is tied on top of the SEC standings at 5-1 with Texas A&M.
Just behind them is Tennessee (7-1/4-1) and Texas (7-1/3-1).

Florida At Texas
Texas enters this contest off a bye week, and the Longhorrns are a defensive dominator, allowing a nation-low 11.5 points per game, 241 yards per game and 3.7 yards per play. Fellow SEC teams Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama and Georgia are also top defensive teams. The Longhorns defense will swarm the Gators quarterbacks, and Florida is not yet sure if it will be freshman quarterback DJ Lagway (limited reps in practice, hamstring) or walk-on Aidan Warner, who went 7-for-22 for 66 yards passing with an inteception in relief of Lagway against Georgia last week. Lagway is from Texas, and he replaced Gators starting quarterback Graham Mertz (ACL) in October.
Oklahoma At Missouri
Both the Sooners and Tigers offenses are underperforming. Oklahoma is averaging 293 yards per game this season – bottom-5 among all power conference teams. The Sooners (5-4) are just 1-4 in SEC play. Oklahoma has the nation’s 2nd longest consecutive bowl streak at 25 (Georgia has 27) since 1999. With games vs. Alabama and LSU to finish the season, this becomes the Sooners best shot to get six wins for a bowl bid. Missouri was shutout last week at Alabama and starting QB Brady Cook sustained a hand injury and didn’t play in the second half. Backup QB Pyne finished just 6-for-12 passing for 42 yards and 3 interceptions.

ESPN’s football power index ranks Georgia’s schedule the toughest in the country.
But Ole Miss is one of only five FBS teams that remain perfect In the Stats – outgaining all opponents this season including LSU in a 29-26 OT loss. Rebels QB Jaxson Dart leads the SEC in passing yards (3,211), TD’s (21), completion (71.7%) and yards per pass play (11.6). Dart had a school record of 515 yards and tied the school record with six touchdown in last week’s romp over Arkansas.
