There’s a heavy focus on security not just for the game, but other activities happening throughout Atlanta, especially in wake of the New Orleans terror attack.

On New Year’s Day, an Army veteran sped around a police blockade and ran over dozens of people on Bourbon Street. The attack left 14 dead and injured dozens of others, including a University of Georgia student. The College Football Playoff committee postponed the Sugar Bowl for one day.

Tuesday’s briefing on public safety for the College Football Playoff National Championship will begin at 10 a.m. Channel 2 Action News will stream the event on WSB Now and in the WSB-TV breaking news app.
