College Football Playoff Projections
Tennessee may not have looked all that impressive in their 28-18 win over Kentucky, but results from around the country certainly helped their case to make the College Football Playoff.
Penn State suffered their first loss of the season, though it came against No. 3 Ohio State. Clemson went down against Louisville, Texas A&M lost to South Carolina by 22 points and Texas Tech pulled the upset on Iowa State. Each one of those teams are potential at-large competitors for Tennessee, so it was a great weekend for the Volunteers.
That’s reflected in the latest College Football Playoff projections. Tennessee is projected to make the 12-team field by most outlets, as of Monday morning.
