It’s College Football Playoff season.
The CFP committee is set to release its first top 25 of the 2024 season, which also marks the first release ahead of the new 12-team bracket. Tuesday night will show what teams have work to do, and which teams are solid in the 12-team playoff race barring losses.

Oregon (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) occupies the No. 1 spot in both US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 poll and will likely take the No. 1 spot in the CFP poll with an undefeated record and win over Ohio State, who should also find itself in the top five. Georgia, Ohio State, Texas and Miami should also be firmly near the top.

How many teams in College Football Playoff 2024?
There are now 12 teams in the CFP, starting with the 2024 season. The four highest-ranked conference champions earn first-round byes, while seeds 5-11 are at-large inclusions. The 12th team goes to the highest-ranked non-Power Four conference champion, if they fall outside of the top 11 of the rankings.
