Week 13 of the 2024 college football season should provide more clarity on the various conference title races heading down the stretch across the sport. No. 1 Oregon became the first Power Four program to punch its ticket to its respective conference title game. No. 5 Indiana — looking to lock up that available Big Ten title game spot — and No. 13 SMU can join the Ducks with a win this weekend.
The marquee showdown on the slate will happen in Columbus, Ohio, as No. 2 Ohio State hosts Indiana. The Hoosiers would play Oregon for the Big Ten title next month with a win, while Ohio State needs to win out in order to secure a berth. The Buckeyes’ lone loss of the season came to Oregon earlier this season on the road.
No. 9 Ole Miss is coming off a win over Georgia on Nov. 9 and will likely need to win out to receive an at-large berth to the College Football Playoff. The Rebels have a date on the road against Florida in the early window. The Gators will need to win one of their final two games to become bowl-eligible.
Headlining the evening window is a ahowdown with major CFP implications as No. 6 Notre Dame battles No. 19 Army. The Fighting Irish should easily lock up a playoff berth by winning their final two games, while the Black Knights are aiming to keep their dream undefeated season alive as they aim for a spot in the first-ever 12-team playoff.
