College football team announces free concessions for fans at home games

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina football will offer free food and drinks to fans during home games at Brooks Stadium beginning this fall, the school announced.

The Chanticleers, an NCAA Division I school in the Sun Belt Conference, are allowing fans to eat free in partnership with its concessionaire, Aramark.

Fans attending home Coastal Carolina football games can obtain four items per concession stand visit, with no limit on the number of in-game visits. Refreshments offered include hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and fountain drinks. Alcoholic beverages, specialty items and food from outside vendors will remain available for purchase.

Fans will be required to scan each trip through the concession line in the soon-to-be-launched Coastal Carolina Athletics app, the school said.

“Our fans are the heartbeat of Teal Nation, and we’re always looking for ways to elevate their game day experience,” Chance Miller, vice president for intercollegiate athletics and university recreation at CCU, said in a statement. “With the CCU Kickoff Meal Deal, we’re excited to offer free concessions this fall as a way to say thank you for the energy, passion and support they bring to Brooks Stadium every game.”

Coastal Carolina kicks off its 2025 football season at Virginia on Aug. 30, and hosts its home opener the following week against Charleston Southern on Sept. 6.
