
While spring camp and the second transfer portal window of the 2025 offseason answered loads of questions about the top college football programs, some teams enter the summer with a touch of uncertainty. Alabama and Texas feature at least one position group apiece that will rely on players stepping into larger roles when the upcoming campaign arrives.
Programs that passed on the talent available in the spring transfer portal window are either content with the options they already possess, or they struck out on the options they targeted. The results, or in some cases the lack thereof, from last month’s wave of transfer movement left analysts puzzled with a few teams.
247Sports’ Cooper Petagna and Smoke Dixon identified on the Transfer Portal Palooza show four programs that still have unanswered questions. Whether it be hesitancy about the players they added, or confusion as to why they did not attack the portal with more aggression, some of the top College Football Playoff contenders left the analysts scratching their heads.
