The Gophers football program picked up two commitments from prep receivers over the weekend: Kai Meza of Draper, Utah, on Saturday night and Hayden Moore of Newberry, Florida, on Sunday afternoon.
“Extremely blessed,” Meza wrote in his pledge post on social media.

Moore said: “100% locked in!”
Meza and Moore are the seventh and eighth pledges to Minnesota’s 2026 class and join fellow wideout Rico Blassingame of Tolleson, Arizona.
Meza, who is listed at 6 feet and 175 pounds, had offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Utah, Washington State and others. He is considered a three-star recruit and the 15th best player in the state of Utah, according to 247Sports.
As a junior, Meza posted 46 receptions for 944 yards and 13 touchdowns at Corner Canyon, a powerhouse program which won the 6A state championship last season and has produced quarterbacks Zach Wilson (BYU) and Jaxson Dart (Ole Miss)
Hayes, who is listed at 6-1 and 190, had offers from Iowa, Vanderbilt, Boston College and others. He is pegged as a three-star recruit and the 105th best player in Florida.
Hayes had 51 catches for 982 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2024 and also played defense on a team that reached the 2A playoffs.
