GREENVILLE, N.C. — The library at JH Rose’s High School was bustling with excitement as three student-athletes signed their letters of intent to play college basketball. Justin Grimes committed to UNC Pembroke, Malachi Green is heading to Pitt Community College, and Torry “TJ” Brown will join Louisburg College.
Family and friends gathered to capture the moment when a childhood dream became reality for the trio. Each athlete expressed the significance of the day.
“It’s a surreal moment,” said one of the athletes, reflecting on the opportunity to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level.
