By the end of the day on June 16, a 2025 College World Series that began with eight teams holding on to national championship dreams will be down to just six remaining participants.
The fourth day of college baseball‘s preeminent event will continue with a pair of games at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska.
The headliner is the latter of the two games, which will pit No. 6 LSU, fresh off its convincing win against No. 3 Arkansas, against No. 15 UCLA, with the winner of that matchup taking a big, important step to making the CWS championship series.

In the other game, Arkansas, the highest-ranked team in the field, will play CWS Cinderella Murray State, which is making its first-ever appearance in the event. The loser of that game will be knocked out of the double-elimination tournament. The winner of that game will advance to play the loser of LSU-UCLA.

The fourth day of the 2025 College World Series will begin with an elimination game, with the loser of No. 3 Arkansas’ game against Murray State getting bounced from the double-elimination tournament after losses to No. 6 LSU and No. 15 UCLA, respectively, two days earlier.
Action will continue from Omaha later that day when the winners of those aforementioned games, LSU and UCLA, face off. The winner of that contest won’t have to play again until Wednesday, June 18, giving them one full day of rest.

Who is in the College World Series?
The eight-team CWS field features teams from six different conferences (SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, ACC, Missouri Valley Conference and Sun Belt) and an independent in Oregon State. The field was trimmed down to seven teams on June 15, with the elimination of Arizona.

When is the College World Series?
The 2025 College World Series began on June 13 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. June 15 was the first day of elimination bracket play at the CWS. The festivities will wrap up beginning on June 21 with the championship series between the final two teams. That will end on June 22 or June 23, depending on whether the best-of-three series goes two or three games.

What channel is the College World Series on? TV channel, streaming
ESPN will air both games of the College World Series on Monday, June 16. Mike Monaco (play-by-play), Ben McDonald (analyst) and Chris Burke (analyst) will be on the call for the for the Arkansas-Murray State game while Dani Wexelman will serve as the sideline reporter. Karl Ravech (play-by-play), Eduardo Pérez (analyst) and Kyle Peterson (analyst) will be on the call for LSU-UCLA while Kris Budden serves as the sideline reporter.
