After an action-packed Tuesday at the 2025 College World Series, one that featured three games due to a weather delay between UCLA and LSU on Monday night, what began as an eight-team tournament is now down to its final four participants.

By the end of the day Wednesday, it could be down to only two teams.

After surviving a chaotic ninth inning against No. 8 Oregon State, Louisville will face off against No. 13 Coastal Carolina in the first game of the day on June 18. That matchup will set up an evening meeting between No. 6 LSU and No. 3 Arkansas.

If Coastal Carolina and LSU win, they’ll advance to the championship series of the CWS, as Louisville and Arkansas already have one loss in the double-elimination tournament.

The sixth full day of action at the 2025 College World Series will include two games, both of which could set up the event’s championship series.

In the first matchup, No. 13 Coastal Carolina will take on Louisville at 2 p.m. ET. That will be followed by No. 6 LSU’s meeting with No. 6 Arkansas at 7 p.m. ET. With losses, Louisville and Arkansas would be eliminated from the tournament.

Who is in the College World Series?

The College World Series eight-team field saw its first cut down on June 15 when Louisville beat Arizona 8-3 in an elimination game. The Wildcats were the first team sent home. They were joined by Murray State following a loss on June 16.

When is the College World Series?

The CWS begins Friday, June 13 and will run through either Sunday, June 22, or Monday, June 23, depending on whether the best-of-three championship series goes two or three games.

What channel is the College World Series on?

The 2025 College World Series continues June 17 with a pair of games airing on ESPN. Streaming options for both games include the ESPN app, which requires a valid cable login to access.
