
LAWRENCEVILLE — Joe Tiroly homered in his third consecutive game and the Rider University baseball team beat Mount St. Mary’s, 6-4, on Saturday afternoon at Sonny Pittaro Field in the rubber game of a three-game set.
Tiroly’s solo shot in the second inning was his MAAC-leading 11th of the season, and surpassed his total of 10 during his freshman campaign.
Clayton Poliey allowed two runs over 6.2 innings to pick up the win. Zach Silfies came on with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth and got the last out on a flyball to left field that was flagged down on the run by Kyle Neri
The Broncs (18-9, 10-5) are tied for second in the MAAC. They play Delaware in the Liberty Bell Classic championship game on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park.
Penn 7, Princeton 6
PHILADELPHIA — Ryan Taylor singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 12th and the Quakers (13-12, 7-2) completed a three-game sweep of the Tigers (7-22, 4-5).
Nick Shenefelt had three hits for Princeton, which lost its fifth straight after the bullpen coughed up a two-run lead in the ninth inning.

PRINCETON — Coulter Mackesy scored four times, Colin Burns added three and the Tigers (8-2) cruised to a victory over the Catamounts (4-5).

ITHACA, N.Y. — McKenzie Blake scored six goals and the Tigers (9-1, 3-0) held off a furious fourth-quarter rally by the Big Red (8-4, 2-2) for their ninth straight win.
Niagara 9, Rider 8
NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. — Maddy Gill scored her 33rd goal of the season in overtime to give the Purple Eagles (5-8, 3-1) a victory over the Broncs (4-8, 0-4). Elizabeth Shean forced the overtime when she caged a goal with 2:19 left for Rider.
TCNJ 16, Montclair State 15
MONTCLAIR — Ally Tobler, CJ Kole, Marissa Lucca and Veronica Campbell all had three goals and the Lions (8-2, 1-0) hung on to clip the Red Hawks (6-4, 0-1). Tobler is up to 45 goals on the season.

HANOVER, N.H. — Julia Dumais had a triple, double and knocked in three runs to propel the Tigers (13-13, 7-1) to a victory over the Big Green (12-12, 5-3).
Rider 4, Canisius 3
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Aspen Wheeler had two hits and two RBIs and Kristyn Gardner added a pair of hits and an RBI to help the Broncs (8-26, 3-7) grab the finale against the Golden Griffins (14-16, 4-4).
