Coveted Penn State QB transfer Beau Pribula set to transfer to Missouri

Missouri has landed its replacement for Brady Cook.

Former Penn State QB Beau Pribula has committed to Missouri, his agency Aurum Sports tells CBS Sports/247Sports.

Pribula had ranked as the fourth-best uncommitted quarterback in the transfer portal. In addition to being Drew Allar‘s backup the last two years, Pribula flashed Power Four starter ability while being used in different packages by Penn State these past two years. He posted 19 total touchdowns the last two seasons — nine passing touchdowns and 10 additional rushing touchdowns.

During the Nittany Lions’ win over Wisconsin Oct. 26, Pribula stepped in for an injured Allar and helped Penn State come away with a 28-13 victory. He finished the game 11 of 13 for 98 yards with a touchdown pass and no interceptions. He also ran for 28 yards.

“I remember coming back and just being so impressed (with him as a recruit),” Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin said of Pribula in October. “The game looked so easy to him. He was so poised. And then he showed up on our campus and he’s smart and he’s mature and he’s extremely competitive and attacks it in every area — the weight room, the classroom, on the field. His teammates love him. He’s just done everything kind of the right way. And I think probably the thing that everybody talks about is his ability to make plays with his legs. But I don’t think there’s anybody within our program that doesn’t believe that that he can do it with his arm too.”

Prior to choosing Missouri, Pribula took visits to the Tigers, Iowa, UCF and Ole Miss. He’d originally been set to visit Indiana as well but ended up cancelling the trip.
