Draisaitl scores in OT, Oilers complete comeback against Kings in Game 4

Draisaitl, who also had three assists, scored his first Stanley Cup Playoff overtime goal on a rebound from the bottom of the right circle after Evan Bouchard, who scored twice in the third period, tied it with 29 seconds left in the third.

“That’s our identity in here, we’ve built that years ago,” Draisaitl said. “It’s a mentality that we have, that we’re never going to quit no matter what. We’ve shown that in the series so far, maybe a little bit too much. We’ve got to find a way to play with a lead.

“It shows a lot of character, and we can be really proud of that, but you don’t want to do that every night.”

The best-of-7 series is tied 2-2. Game 5 is in Los Angeles on Tuesday (10 p.m. ET, FDSNW, MAX, TBS, TVAS2, SN, CBC).

“Knowing that things change, understanding that things change, we could have easily gone out there and mailed it in and headed to L.A. and tried to dig our way out,” said Oilers captain Connor McDavid, who drew the overtime tripping penalty on Vladislav Gavrikov. “But I thought everyone just dug in. I’m sure there’s lots of people doubting us still, but we like it that way.

“A lot of people are counting us out, but we’re fighting to beat a good team. They’re a great team, they really are, and we’re fighting.”
