The season is officially on the line for East Carolina baseball.
The Pirates (34-26) took an 18-7 loss to Coastal Carolina on Saturday night to set up a do-or-die elimination game Sunday afternoon against the Florida Gators (39-21). Sunday’s game will be streamed on ESPN+. UF survived and advanced with a 17-2 rout of Fairfield.
The good news for East Carolina is that the Pirates won the first matchup between these two on Friday. But another win may prove challenging; the Gators have won each of their last seven regional elimination games.
The winner will face Coastal Carolina for the regional championship on Sunday night.
