Saturday’s doubleheader is free

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College baseball team loses the series opener against Daytona State College on the road Thursday.
The Titans fell to 12-13 in the conference standings with the 6-4 loss.
Eastern Florida State College took an early lead, scoring in each of the first four innings and led 4-1 heading to the bottom of the fifth inning.
Daytona State College scored three times to tie the game 4-4. The Falcons would take the lead in the sixth inning and add a run in the eighth to pick up their 10th conference win of the season.
The series will move to Bruce Bochy Field on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free to games on the Melbourne campus and fans can watch the doubleheader live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.

Daytona State College scored three times in the fifth inning to top the Titans 6-4 in Daytona and now the series comes to Bruce Bochy Field for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
William Rollings had three hits and drove in four runs for the Falcons in the win and has now had multi-hit games in two of the past four games.
Eastern Florida State College is hitting .297 as a team led by sophomore Jeff Davis who is hitting .362 in 28 games with three home runs. Teammate Shane Thomas is hitting .353 while Kevin Smith has a 344 average as the leadoff hitter for the Titans.
