Both teams coming in 11-11 and tied for 5th place

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will hit the road for a Citrus Conference doubleheader against Polk State College on Saturday.
The Titans earned a win in the series opener on Thursday evening as the Titans rallied in the bottom of the eighth inning for the 7-4 win.
The series heads to Winter Haven for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
Eastern Florida State College is hitting .296 as a team heading into the doubleheader as six players are hitting at least .320 playing at least 25 games.
A couple of Titans have been red hot as Gustavo Mendez has had multiple hits in each of the past three games and Jeff Davis has a five-game hitting streak coming into the doubleheader. Both are hitting over .320 this season and Davis is hitting .358 with three home runs.
Michael Benedict has started in the past two series and been solid in bath, going 1-0, allowing four runs in 11 innings and has six strikeouts.
Polk State College has lost five of the last six coming into Saturday and are led by Jordan Thomas who is hitting .336 while teammate Zach Lester hit his fifth home run of the season on Thursday.
Both teams come into the doubleheader 11-11 and are tied for fifth place in the Citrus Conference heading into Saturday.
