Fresh off the win over Florida on Friday afternoon, East Carolina baseball is on the right side of the NCAA Tournament bracket. The Pirates will take on Coastal Carolina/Fairfield in the Conway Regional’s winners bracket game on Saturday.
ECU got here with an 11-6 win over the Gators in the Regional’s opening game, a game in which the Pirates scored nine runs before UF managed its first hit. Meanwhile, the Chanticleers pulled off a 10-2 win over the Stags on Friday night.
The NCAA Baseball Tournament is double-elimination, so while the winner will advance to Sunday night’s championship game, the loser will play in an elimination game Sunday afternoon.
