ESPN announces matchups for third annual ACC/SEC men’s and women’s basketball challenges

The ACC/SEC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Challenges return for the 2025-26 college basketball season with 32 games scheduled over the course of three days, featuring two of the premier conferences in college basketball. The ACC/SEC Men’s Challenge will take place over back-to-back days Tuesday, Dec. 2, and Wednesday, Dec. 3, while the ACC/SEC Women’s Challenge is slated for Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4. Both the men’s and women’s events will be televised across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network. Coverage details, including platform designations and commentator information, will be announced closer to the 2025-26 college basketball season.The Clemson men will travel to Alabama on Dec. 3, their first meeting since facing off in the Elite Eight in 2024. The Clemson women will also play at Alabama on Dec. 4.The South Carolina men will host Virginia Tech on Dec. 2.
