The NFL Draft is now just a few weeks away and ESPN’s Field Yates updated his 2-round mock draft on Wednesday morning.
The top of the draft is largely unchanged from consensus, with former Miami quarterback Cam Ward slotted in at No. 1 overall. The updated mock has 3 former SEC players in the top 10: Armand Membou, Jalon Walker, Shemar Stewart and Will Campbell.
Membou had a tremendous NFL Combine and is now projected to be the top offensive lineman taken in this class. The former Mizzou product is now set to be the first Missouri first-round pick on the offensive side of the ball since Blaine Gabbert in 2011. Yates is mocking Membou at No. 7 overall to the New York Jets.
Yates is projecting Walker to go No. 8 overall to the Carolina Panthers. Walker was extremely productive during his 3 seasons in Georgia as he tallied 19 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. He was part of Georgia’s 2022 National Championship team and registered a career-high 60 tackles in 2024.
Stewart slots in at No. 9 overall to the New Orleans Saints in Yates’ mock. Stewart flashed serious athletic potential at the NFL Combine and throughout the pre-draft process. A former 5-star prospect, Stewart never put up elite pass rushing numbers in college at Texas A&M. Still, his potential has him as a projected top-10 pick.
Campbell rounds out the top-10. The former LSU lineman is one of the best offensive linemen in this class and is projected to be picked by the Chicago Bears at No. 10 overall in this mock. Campbell would immediately become a key part of a Chicago offense that must give better protection for Caleb Williams in 2025 and beyond.
There are several other former SEC stars included in Yates’ 2 round mock draft, including Walter Nolen, Kelvin Banks Jr., James Pearce Jr., Malaki Starks, Luther Burden and plenty more.
The 2025 NFL Draft will begin on April 24 in Green Bay.
