ESPN’s “College GameDay” is staying in Big Ten country.
The popular college football pregame show, a week after broadcasting from Indiana, is headed to Happy Valley ahead of the Ohio State-Penn State game.
Host Rece Davis will be joined at the desk by analysts Lee Corso, Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football insider Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the “GameDay” cast.
Beau Pribula led touchdown drives on back-to-back series, and Jaylen Reed put No. 3 Penn State ahead for good on a 19-yard interception return as the Nittany Lions overcame Allar’s injury to beat Wisconsin 28-13. Allar watched the entire second half from the sideline while wearing a brace on his left knee. Penn State trailed 10-7 at the time Allar got hurt.
The Nittany Lions also lost starting defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton and offensive tackle Anthony Donkoh. Penn State outscored Wisconsin 21-3 in the second half despite the injuries. Pribula completed 11 of 13 for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Will Howard tossed three touchdown passes, but No. 4 Ohio State needed an interception by cornerback Jordan Hancock’s with 1:16 left to seal its 21-17 win over Nebraska. The Buckeyes bounced back from their loss to Oregon two weeks ago but sure didn’t look like the well-oiled machine they are supposed to be in grappling with four-touchdown underdog Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers had kept it close all day with three field goals by John Hohl. Ohio State punted five times, gave up the ball on downs, missed a field goal and survived a Howard interception.
