Ex-Broncos WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey finds new NFL home

Lil’Jordan Humphrey has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the New York Giants, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Humphrey (6-4, 225 pounds) entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Texas with the New Orleans Saints in 2019. In three seasons playing for Sean Payton, Humphrey hauled in 16 receptions for 295 yards and three touchdowns in 18 games.

Humphrey then spent the 2022 season with the New England Patriots, catching two passes for 20 yards in six appearances. When Payton returned to coaching with the Denver Broncos in 2023, Humphrey reunited with his former coach as a free agent.

Humphrey has spent the last two years in Denver, dressing for all 17 games each season. He has totaled 44 receptions for 455 yards and four touchdowns with the Broncos. Payton has praised the receiving for his willingness to serve as a blocker on runs and screen plays, but LJH won’t return in 2025.

Denver will move forward with Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Devaughn Vele, Troy Franklin and Trent Sherfield as the top five wide receivers on the roster (and more depth could be added in the NFL draft).
