Stan Son provides his thoughts and insights on DFS options for Monday’s NBA slate on DraftKings.
There are 10 NBA games on Monday’s slate.
DAL, DEN, MEM, OKC, PHI, PHO, POR, SAC, SAS and UTA are playing the second leg of a back-to-back.
As for injuries, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, Trae Young, Tyrese Haliburton, Fred VanVleet, TJ McConnell, Nikola Vucevic, Duncan Robinson, Jaxson Hayes, Al Horford, Patrick Williams, Alec Burks, Vit Krejci, Keaton Wallace and Haywood Highsmith are questionable. Kristaps Porzingis and Lonzo Ball are doubtful. LeBron James, Cam Thomas, Amen Thompson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Jakob Poeltl, Richaun Holmes, Khris Middleton, Marcus Smart, Jonathan Mogbo, Trendon Watford and Tidjane Salaun are out. Keep track of all the pertinent injury updates at DK Live.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, there is one double-digit favorite: GSW -12 over POR. There is one game within 3 points: SAC -1 over NYK. There are two games with a total of at least 230: IND/CHI (241.5) and DEN/OKC (241). There are three games with a total below 220: LAL/BKN (217.5), CHA/MIA (216) and ORL/HOU (213).

Guard
Stud
Austin Reaves, Los Angeles Lakers at Brooklyn Nets ($7,500): Reaves has a 24% usage rate on the season. Since Luka Doncic joined the team, though, that number has plummeted to 19%. LeBron James is out, so Reaves should see the offensive responsibilities increase once again. There’s even more upside if Luka Doncic sits, as he’s listed as questionable with a back issue. Reaves has shown the ability to conduct an offense expertly in the past.
Other Options: Luka Doncic ($12,000) if he starts, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($11,000), Trae Young ($9,700), Devin Booker ($9,100), Ja Morant ($8,600), Josh Giddey ($8,500), Jaylen Brown ($8,300), Desmond Bane ($7,900), RJ Barrett ($7,400), Jordan Poole ($7,200), Immanuel Quickley ($6,500), Stephon Castle ($6,200), Christian Braun ($6,100)
Value
Lonnie Walker IV, Philadelphia 76ers at Atlanta Hawks ($3,600): The one-dimensionality of Walker’s game is always a concern since a cold-shooting night could nuke his fantasy prospects. The price and expected playing time negate that somewhat. Walker has played at least 28 minutes in two of the last three games, putting up 24.25 and 29.25 FPTS. There’s a good chance he gets over 30 minutes in this one, as Nick Nurse announced on Sunday that Kelly Oubre Jr. and Quentin Grimes will have their minutes limited going forward.
Other Options: Cam Thomas ($6,000), Bilal Coulibaly ($5,900), Andrew Nembhard ($5,700) if Haliburton is out, Payton Pritchard ($5,700), Spencer Dinwiddie ($5,600), Carlton Carrington ($5,500), D’Angelo Russell ($5,400), Max Christie ($5,400), Caris LeVert ($5,400), Cole Anthony ($5,100), Aaron Nesmith ($5,000), Ziaire Williams ($4,800), Davion Mitchell ($4,600), Gabe Vincent ($4,500) if Doncic is out, Kevin Huerter ($4,100), Jordan Goodwin ($3,800) if Doncic is out, Shake Milton ($3,400) if Doncic is out
Forward
Stud
Naji Marshall, Dallas Mavericks at San Antonio Spurs ($6,800): The Marshall Plan is in full effect down in Dallas. Unfortunately, it’s been more out of necessity than manifest destiny. Regardless, Marshall has stepped up since the trades and injuries that have plagued Dallas. On the season, Naji was garnering a respectable 20% usage rate. Over the last four games, that number has spiked to 29%. Over that span, Marshall put up 24.5, 36.75, 41.75 and 58.25 FPTS. On Sunday, he put up 34 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals and 3 treys.
Other Options: Kevin Durant ($9,400), Bam Adebayo ($9,300), Miles Bridges ($8,500), Jalen Williams ($8,500), Jaylen Brown ($8,300), Pascal Siakam ($8,200), RJ Barrett ($7,400), Chet Holmgren ($7,300), Christian Braun ($6,100)
Value
Kevin Huerter, Chicago Bulls vs. Indiana Pacers ($4,100): There was an acclimation period for Huerter when he first arrived in Chicago, as he received around 20 minutes of run and scored in the lower teens for FPTS. Since then, he’s put up at least 20 FPTS in six straight and is now playing close to 30 minutes a night.
Other Options: Bilal Coulibaly ($5,900), Caris LeVert ($5,400), Bennedict Mathurin ($5,200) if Haliburton is out, Aaron Nesmith ($5,000), Matas Buzelis ($5,000), Ziaire Williams ($4,800), Jarred Vanderbilt ($4,500) if Hayes is out, Dalton Knecht ($4,400), Jordan Goodwin ($3,800) if Doncic is out
Center
Stud
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets at Oklahoma City Thunder ($12,900): I write up Jokic every slate he’s on because he is literally the GOAT. Diana Ross sang, “Ain’t no mountain high enough.” Well, there hasn’t been a DK price high enough to not even think about Jokic. He has the highest floor/ceiling combo on the slate. And not by a little margin. He just put up 63.25 FPTS against OKC on Sunday. In the prior game, he went for a whopping 100.25 FPTS. Mic drop.
Other Options: Alperen Sengun ($9,500), Bam Adebayo ($9,300), Chet Holmgren ($7,300), Onyeka Okongwu ($6,800), Kyle Filipowski ($6,300), Zach Collins ($6,100) if Vucevic is out
Value
Brandon Clarke, Memphis Grizzlies vs. Phoenix Suns ($4,200): Clarke doesn’t start, but he’s playing in the mid-20s now. The Grizzlies play fast and Zach Edey hasn’t played 30 minutes once this season. Over the last five games, Clarke has put up at least 22 FPTS in all, with 32.75 and 38 FPTS in the last two games.
Other Options: Alex Sarr ($5,600), Kel’el Ware ($5,600), Nic Claxton ($5,500), Mason Plumlee ($3,600), Collin Castleton ($3,600), Trey Jemison ($3,000) if Hayes is out
