Rocco’s in Omaha had an eventful Day 1 of the College World Series.
The bar, which has become famous for running a Jello shot competition between the 8 fanbases who make it to the CWS each June, says it had to close early on Friday night due to behavior from some patrons.
Rocco’s issued a statement on Saturday morning, stating it will always put the safety of its employees and business first.
“We closed early last night because several people took their passion too far,” the statement says in part. “We will never tolerate fighting or aggressive chirping or obscene behavior. We want to stay open as late as the law will allow but will absolutely always do what’s best to keep our employees and business safe.”
