Flagler College will honor former baseball coach Dave Barnett with statue unveiling

A statue of former Flagler College baseball coach Dave Barnett will be unveiled April 5 at Drysdale Field before the Saints play Claffin University. 

The ceremony honoring Barnett, who won 1,054 games (with a .547 winning percentage) and coached 7,009 players in 37 years from 1988 to 2024, will begin at 1 p.m., with the first pitch against Clafflin at 2 p.m. 

Barnett retired after the 2024 season. He guided the Saints to 18 seasons of 30 or more victories, 16 post-season appearances at the NAIA and NCAA Division II level and had 51 players who signed professional contracts.
