Florida at Tennessee is the only top-10 matchup of the weekend in men’s college basketball. It’s also a rad way to start off our Saturday. Florida and Tennessee, the sequel!
How to watch No. 5 Florida at No. 8 Tennessee
Todd Golden’s Gators (Golden Gators) have been superb. They’re plus-86 in seven SEC games, tied for third in the most competitive conference in the country. Florida puts a lot of shots up, crashes the offensive glass and plays with confidence.

With top-10 ratings in both offense and defense, these Gators are hard to wrestle with. Senior guard Will Richard is heating up: 22 points and three steals at South Carolina, four made treys against Georgia a week ago. Fellow senior Walter Clayton Jr. has scored at least 25 six times this season.
Tennessee poses an interesting matchup here. It turned Saturday’s game against Auburn into a brick-throwing contest. Opponents have been terrible from beyond the arc — worst-in-Division-I terrible. The wagon that is the Tigers’ offense was unrecognizable.

The Vols have lost three of four, including that 53-51 loss to Auburn and a 78-73 loss to Kentucky on Tuesday, but the defense makes them a tough out no matter what. Croatian big man Igor Miličić Jr. had his biggest game yet against the Wildcats, finishing with 19 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Seniors Chaz Lanier and Zakai Zeigler are fun players at their best, but they both hit Saturday amid gnarly shooting slumps.
These two played recently, and the result was … memorable. Tennessee came in with the top ranking and an undefeated record. It left with a 30-point drubbing that instantly took wind out of the grooving Volunteers. Round 2 is in Knoxville. It would be stunning to see them flounder like that again.
