Florida baseball freshman pitcher Aidian King emerged as one of the top pitchers in college baseball at the end of the 2025 season.
King was named a first-team All-American by both Perfect Game and the College Baseball Writers Association of America on June 10.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound King, from Bishop Snyder High in Jacksonville, finished off a stellar freshman campaign for the Florida Gators by winning his final three starts, allowing just three earned runs over 21 1/3 innings pitched during that span. Overall, King finished 7-2 with a 2.58 ERA, with 79 strikeouts and 23 walks in 73 1/3 innings pitched.
King’s 2.58 ERA was the lowest for a UF pitcher across a full season since Brady Singer posted a 2.55 ERA in 2018.
Florida freshman infielder Brendan Lawson, meanwhile, earned second-team All-American honors from Perfect Game. Lawson started 60 of 61 games for UF, primarily at first base while filling in at second base and third base on occasion.
A Toronto, Canada, native, Lawson ranked second on UF in batting average (.317) and RBIs (61) while slugging 10 home runs and 14 doubles.
