ESPN has placed Florida basketball at No. 5 in its 2025-26 men’s college basketball transfer class rankings.
In a story published Monday, ESPN college basketball insider Jeff Borzello highlighted Florida’s strong portal haul, which includes former Princeton Tigers star Xaivian Lee, Arkansas Razorbacks transfer Boogie Fland and Ohio standout AJ Brown.
Lee, a 6-foot-3-inch combo guard, averaged 16.9 points per game last season. Fland, a former five-star prospect, showed flashes of potential before his season was cut short due to injury. Brown adds proven scoring punch after averaging 13.2 points per game a season ago.
Together, the trio gives Gators head coach Todd Golden an experienced and dynamic group of guards to pair with returning frontcourt players like Alex Condon and Thomas Haugh.
Florida is coming off a national championship run and have reloaded with the kind of transfer talent that could keep them in contention.
Here is everything Borzello wrote about Florida basketball’s transfer class for the 2025-26 college basketball season.
What ESPN said about Florida
“Two of Florida’s incoming transfers are ranked among the top 30 and should comprise one of the most effective playmaking backcourts in the country. Lee was first to commit to the Gators; he’s a two-time, first-team All-Ivy League selection, thanks to stuffing the stat sheets at Princeton. Fland’s decision vaulted Florida into these class rankings — and near the top of the Way-Too-Early top 25. He’s a former five-star prospect and was one of the best freshmen in the country before suffering an injury in January.”
