If the weather delay is in effect for an extended period, it could make for a long night at the Tallahassee Regional, as Northeastern and Mississippi State are set to play after Florida State-Bethune Cookman wrap up.

The game started at 3 p.m. ET, and went into the weather delay just over an hour later around 4 p.m. ET. Here’s what to know of the weather delay at the Tallahassee Regional:

Tallahassee weather forecast

Tallahassee could see severe storms into the night, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS reports there’s a chance of producing “strong to damaging wind gusts, small hails, frequent lightning, and heavy rain.”

Per NWS, there’s a 50% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon, with the percentage staying the same until 4 a.m. The afternoon rain is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, though there’s the potential for more if a thunderstorm forms.

Rainfall amounts are projected to be between a quarter and half an inch for the night, which could make a game being played quite difficult on Friday.
