Former college football player charged with child abuse

GARNER, N.C. – A former North Carolina State football player is charged with child abuse.

Court documents show he intentionally inflicted serious bodily harm to a five-month-old child.

Tyler Baker Williams is charged for injuries his child suffered on March 22.

According to records, the baby suffered a broken toe, rib, and ankle. 

Baker Williams played at NC State from 2018 to 2022. He was arrested Thursday at his home in Garner. His bond is set at $500,000.
