The fifth regular starter for Oregon State men’s basketball is heading to Fort Worth.
Former Beavers guard Liutauras Lelevicius will transfer to TCU, he announced on Friday. The 6-7 Lithuanian will join the Horned Frogs after one season in Corvallis.
Lelevicius averaged 8.7 points and four rebounds per game last season for the Beavers, stepping up in the team’s postseason berth with several other players already in the portal. In a narrow College Basketball Crown loss to Central Florida, Lelevicius scored a career-high 20 points and missed the would-be game-winner.
Lelevicius would enter the portal a few days later, joining six of his teammates including all of OSU’s regular starters in leaving the program. The Beavers were crushed by a booming NIL market that saw leading scorer Michael Rataj receive a reported $1.6 million payday from Baylor, after OSU budgeted just $800,000 total for NIL last season.
Nate Kingz transferred to Syracuse at a reported NIL cost of $750,000, Damarco Minor is headed to Pittsburgh, and Parsa Fallah transferred to Oklahoma State. The Beavers have yet to announce an incoming transfer as they retool their roster.
