Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse football wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr. is on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot for the eighth consecutive year.
This ballot for the Class of 2026, released earlier this week, includes 79 FBS players and nine coaches.
Syracuse currently has 10 players who have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Dwight Freeney was the most recent inductee from the school, entering the College Hall in 2023.
This year’s ballot is highlighted by Alabama running back Mark Ingram, Florida quarterback Cam Newton, Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, Nebraska defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh and Pittsburgh defensive lineman Aaron Donald.
Last year’s College Football Hall of Fame class included 18 players and four head coaches.
Former Syracuse players in the College Hall include Joe Alexander, Vic Hanson, Ernie Davis, Floyd Little, Larry Csonka, Jim Brown, Tim Green, Don McPherson and Art Monk. Nine coaches in the hall spent time at SU, including Ben Schwartzwalder.
Already a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016, Harrison still ranks No. 2 on the Orange’s career yardage and touchdowns list. He had 1,131 yards in his senior season in 1995, which ranks third in SU history. He averaged 20.2 yards per catch that year.
Harrison was on the college ballot for the first time when the 2019 class was selected and has been a candidate every year since.
Final selections will be announced in early 2026. Inductees will be honored on Dec 8, 2026, in Las Vegas.
