FOX Sports analyst, former NFL star arrested in Miami

Current FOX Sports analyst and former NFL linebacker Jonathan Vilma has reportedly been arrested in Miami.

Vilma was arrested for driving with a suspended license, according to Andy Slater. Slater added that the initial traffic stop came because Vilma was driving with an expired tag.

Jonathan Vilma spent 10 seasons in the NFL, playing for the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints. He earned Pro Bowl honors three times and also won a Super Bowl during his time in New Orleans.

Vilma has worked with FOX Sports as an analyst since 2020. Prior to joining FOX Sports, Vilma worked as a college football analyst for ABC and ESPN. He also previously served as a pregame and halftime analyst for NBC’s Notre Dame football coverage in 2015.

During his playing days, Vilma was one of the top linebackers in the NFL. He led the league in tackles in 2005, finishing with 128.

Before playing in the NFL, Jonathan Vilma attended the University of Miami from 2000-03, helping the Hurricanes to a national championship. He won the Jack Lambert Trophy in 2003, which is given to the best linebacker in college football, before being selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.
