FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — The 4th annual State Center Baseball Classic is slated for Sunday afternoon at Chukchansi Park between two familiar junior college baseball rivals.
Fresno City College (18-5) and Reedley College (12-12) will square off at what Reedley head coach Steve Pearse calls “the best non-Big League ballpark on the West Coast.”
The game will be Sunday, March 30th at 2 p.m. with children under 12 and veterans receiving free admission.
The Rams swept an earlier three-game series against the Tigers a month ago, which included Fresno City overcoming an early 11-2 deficit.
Pearse and Fresno City College pitching coach Eric Solberg explain why Sunday’s game will be just as exciting, and what it means for both programs – and the sport of CCCAA baseball – to play in Downtown Fresno.
