GAME 1: Coastal Carolina, LSU to play on college baseball’s biggest stage

OMAHA, Neb. (WMBF) – And just like that, there are only two teams left.

WMBF News will give live updates on the game in this blog below:

Coastal Carolina baseball, 56-11, is coming into this game hot, winning its last 26 games.

Through late-game heroics, LSU, 51-15, beat Arkansas 6-5 to make it to this championship series.

If Coastal can pull it off, this would be the team’s second national championship in program history and the first since 2016.

But LSU is no stranger to national championships, as the team has won seven in its history, with the most recent being in 2023.
