Gladstone’s Lillie Johnson commits to UW-Green Bay for women’s college basketball

GLADSTONE, Mich. (WLUC) – Gladstone junior Lillie Johnson announced Friday via X her commitment to suit up for the University of Wisconsin Green Bay women’s basketball team in 2026.

Johnson, only a junior at Gladstone High School, will still have another year in a Braves uniform, but she already knows it will not be the last time she plays basketball.

A 1,000-point and counting scoring for the Braves, Johnson has helped lead Gladstone on deep postseason runs, the most recent a trip to the state quarterfinal, where the Braves fell to Frankenmuth.

Johnson said via X, “I want to thank my parents, family, coaches, and everyone who has supported me on this journey. Thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and helping me grow both on and off the court. I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of you. I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue playing at the next level and am so excited to be able to be a Phoenix.”
