Highlights of Harper Creek’s win over Hastings in battle of first place in Interstate 8 Conference
BATTLE CREEK – Harper Creek football standouts Chase Nichols and Damarian Ashley each committed to play at Division III schools at a signing ceremony at Harper Creek High School recently.
Each were part of a Harper Creek football team that won the Interstate 8 Conference last fall and went 8-2 overall.

Nichols is set to continue his football career at Calvin University. Nichols had over 1,400 yards rushing with an average of over 10 yards per carry with 16 touchdowns on the season from his running back spot, earning all-city honors.
Ashley is set to continue his football career at Kalamazoo College. Ashley was a returning starter on the offensive line for the Beavers, leading that group from his center position, earning all-city honors.
