Weeks after NAIA champion LSU-Shreveport completed the most impressive season in college baseball history with a 59-0 record, another champion could be named in the Boot in the same summer.
The FanDuel Sportsbook now has the LSU Tigers as odds-on favorites to win the 2025 College World Series at +310. Arkansas has the second-highest odds at +370.
DraftKings has LSU with the second-best odds to win it all at +600, behind Arkansas at +500. LSU went into the postseason at the No. 3 team in the country, according to D1baseball.com. Only Vanderbilt and North Carolina were ranked higher and the Commodores lost in the regional round.
The Tigers didn’t get through the regional round without facing adversity. LSU lost 10-4 to Little Rock on Saturday before rallying for a 10-6 victory over the Trojans Monday night.
Next up for LSU is a best-of-three Super Regional against West Virginia hosted at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. The series starts on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT, while Game 2 is on Sunday at 5 p.m. The start time for a Game 3, if necessary, is yet to be announced, but it would be on Monday.
