Fans of college baseball will have several opportunities to catch a game locally over the next few days. There’s even some college softball games on tap locally in the coming days.
Perhaps the highlight of the next few days will be baseball and softball matchups between Spring Hill College and the University of Mobile, renewing a rivalry that was at its peak when both schools played in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. These days, Mobile plays in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), while Spring Hill is a NCAA Division II school competing in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
