How former Oregon OL Marcus Harper felt he performed at pro day, has heard since

Marcus Harper II was a three-year starting guard on Oregon’s offensive line. Harper is sharing his journey to the NFL draft with The Oregonian/OregonLive over the coming months. Today he shares his reaction to how he performed during Oregon’s pro day and some of the conversations he’s had with NFL teams since.

“I did exactly what I came there to do. There was a couple of drills I wish if I could go back I could redo. But overall of how I performed on pro day wasn’t short of my personal standard. Now it’s here and behind me; don’t nobody ask me to run 40 yards ever again. I really would like to take that 5-10-5, run that one more time if I ever get the opportunity, and then redo my vertical jump. I was jumping way higher in training than I did at pro day. I would’ve preferred a 27-28 inches to be closer to what I was jumping during training – take that vert back for my ego’s sake. But everything else I was very happy with. Afterwords I had a couple of calls from the 49ers, spoke to the Raiders last week. Then I got a workout with the Bears at their local pro day on April 8, then I got to go to Seattle for another local day on the 10th.
