The final week of the 2025 College Baseball Showdown in Arlington, Texas, has arrived, and the 2025 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series – Weekend 3 kicks off with a clash between two of the sport’s most prominent conferences – the Southeastern Conference and the Big Ten.
The participants in the first of the weekend’s six games will be Auburn (SEC) and Ohio State (Big Ten). They’ll be joined at Globe Life Field by Baylor and No. 9 Oregon State.
Auburn and Ohio State will get underway Friday at 4 p.m. Eastern.
The Amegy Bank College Baseball Series again is being held at GLF, home of the world champion Texas Rangers, as part of three exciting weekends of college baseball in Texas.
The schedule includes the Shriners Children’s College Showdown (Feb. 14-16), Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 2 (Feb. 21-23) and Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 3 (Feb. 28-March 2).
There also are a handful of midweek games on Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
Auburn opened the 2025 season with a 7-1 record in its first eight games, including an active run of six consecutive wins, with one additional contest Feb. 25 at home against Samford, before heading to Texas.
The Tigers are coming off a 27-26 season that included an 8-22 mark in the uber-tough SEC. They finished last in the SEC West, three wins behind Ole Miss, and did not advance to the postseason.
The success of the Ohio State football team enjoyed in winning the most recent College Football Playoff National Championship has not translated to the baseball field, where the Buckeyes opened their 2025 campaign with a 1-5 record.
Ohio State will ride a two-game losing streak into Arlington for its three games during the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 3.
The Buckeyes are looking to improve on their 29-26 performance last season, which included a 12-12 effort in Big Ten play. That was good enough to finish in the middle of the conference standings and earn a spot in the Big Ten Baseball Tournament.
OSU advanced to the second round of the event but lost to Indiana and Nebraska to see the season come to an end.

Where Is The 2025 College Baseball Showdown?
The Shriners Children’s College Showdown and two-weekend Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota are taking place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and feature some of the top teams in the nation.
The 2025 season marks the fifth consecutive year of college baseball at Globe Life Field – home of the world champion Texas Rangers – and the second straight year the action spans three weekends.
When Is The College Baseball Showdown?
The first weekend of the festivities, the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, began Friday, Feb. 14 and ran through Feb. 16.
The following two weeks of action, the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, were set for Feb. 21-23 and Feb. 28-March 2.
To keep the momentum going between the weekends, the series also includes four midweek games at Globe Life Field. Those contests are taking place Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
