The distance from Waco, Texas, to the Dallas-Fort Worth area is about 100 miles, so any games Baylor plays at the 2025 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series – Weekend 3 basically are home games for the Bears.
Among those contests will be a Friday nightcap against Oregon State. They’ll get underway at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, at 8 p.m. Eastern as the second of the day’s two games. They’ll follow Auburn and Ohio State (4 p.m. EST).
The Amegy Bank College Baseball Series again is being held at GLF, home of the world champion Texas Rangers, as part of three exciting weekends of college baseball in Texas.
The schedule includes the Shriners Children’s College Showdown (Feb. 14-16), Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 2 (Feb. 21-23) and Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 3 (Feb. 28-March 2).
There also are a handful of midweek games on Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
Baylor started the 2025 season with six consecutive wins, before dropping an extra-inning contest to Gonzaga, 8-7 (10 innings).
The Bears then had one game to get back on track – a Feb. 25 meeting with Stephen F. Austin – before rolling into Arlington for games against Oregon State, Ohio State and Auburn.
Baylor is well on the way to improving on a disappointing 22-31 season that included a 10-20 record in Big 12 play and a bottom-3 finish in the conference. The Bears did not advance to the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship.
Baylor started its 2024 season at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown at Globe Life Field, posting an 0-3 record.
Oregon State was dominant out of the gates this year, too, opening the season with five consecutive wins. The Beavers scored more than 15 runs in two of those victories.
Unfortunately for OSU, the run of fortune ended and was followed by consecutive losses at the Round Rock Classic in Round Rock, Texas.
After the skid, the Beavers (5-2) dropped two spots in the D1Baseball Top 25 this week from No. 7 to No. 9.
They’ll look to turn things around this week in Arlington in games against Baylor, Auburn and Ohio State.
Last year, Oregon State had a great season, finishing 45-16, which included a 19-10 mark in the Pac-12. The Beavers finished second behind departing Arizona in the conference standings.
Oregon State made a memorable run through the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, eventually seeing the season come to an end at the hands of Kentucky at the NCAA Lexington Super Regional.
Along the way, Oregon State participated in the early-season Kubota College Baseball Series, posting a 2-1 record at Globe Life Field.

Where Is The 2025 College Baseball Showdown?
The Shriners Children’s College Showdown and two-weekend Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota are taking place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and feature some of the top teams in the nation.
The 2025 season marks the fifth consecutive year of college baseball at Globe Life Field – home of the world champion Texas Rangers – and the second straight year the action spans three weekends.
When Is The College Baseball Showdown?
The first weekend of the festivities, the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, began Friday, Feb. 14 and ran through Feb. 16.
The following two weeks of action, the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, were set for Feb. 21-23 and Feb. 28-March 2.
To keep the momentum going between the weekends, the series also includes four midweek games at Globe Life Field. Those contests are taking place Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
