The second day of the 2025 Shriners Children’s College Showdown kicks off with two teams that landed on this year’s D1Baseball Preseason Top 25 Rankings – Clemson (No. 15) and Arizona (No. 21).
Their matchup, set for noon Eastern, will be the second official game of the 2025 season for each team, with both opening their campaigns a day prior at the six-team event.
The Shriners Children’s College Showdown again is being held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, home of the world champion Texas Rangers, as part of three exciting weekends of college baseball in Texas.
The schedule includes the Shriners Children’s College Showdown (Feb. 14-16), Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 2 (Feb. 21-23) and Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota Weekend 3 (Feb. 28-March 2).
There also will be midweek games on Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
Clemson is coming off a 44-16 season that included a 20-10 record in Atlantic Coast Conference play and an ACC Atlantic Division title – but a quicker-than-hoped exit from the ACC Baseball Championship.
The Tigers were one of eight ACC teams to advance to the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship but saw their season come to an end with a 2-0 loss to Florida in the best-of-three championship series at the Clemson Super Regional.
It was the first time since 2010 Clemson had won a regional and advanced to the super-regional round.
Arizona finished the 2024 campaign with a 36-23 overall record and 20-10 mark in its final year of Pac-12 competition.
The Wildcats won the Pac-12 regular-season title and went on to win the Pac-12 Tournament. With the latter, they also claimed the conference’s automatic bid to the Division I Baseball Championship.
Despite the run of success, Arizona saw its fourth consecutive appearance in the 64-team national tournament end with consecutive losses to Grand Canyon and Dallas Baptist in the Tucson NCAA Regional.

Where Is The 2025 College Baseball Showdown?
The Shriners Children’s College Showdown and two-weekend Amegy Bank College Baseball Series presented by Kubota will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, and feature some of the top teams in the nation.
The 2025 season will mark the fifth consecutive year of college baseball at Globe Life Field – home of the world champion Texas Rangers – and the second straight year the action will span three weekends.
When Is The College Baseball Showdown?
The first weekend of the festivities, the Shriners Children’s College Showdown, will begin on Friday, Feb. 14 and will run through Feb. 16.
The following two weeks of action, the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, will take place Feb. 21-23 and Feb. 28-March 2.
To keep the momentum going between the weekends, the series also will include four midweek games at Globe Life Field. Those contests will take place Feb. 18, Feb. 19, Feb. 26 and March 5.
